After a string of impressive features—including “Ting Tun Up Pt. II” with Toronto’s Skiifall and “Summer Is Blue” with Sainté and A2—Knucks is back focusing on his solo material with new double drop “Alpha Place/Hide & Seek”.
Taken from Knucks’ forthcoming EP of the same name, “Alpha Place” sees the 27-year-old reconnect with Grammy-winning saxophonist Venna to create a soulful beat that underpins memories of kicking ball and the everyday happenings of a younger, rowdier Knucks. “Hide & Seek”, meanwhile, sees the South Kilburn rapper in narrator mode, as he details the story of a young man named Kevin and his turbulent relationship with the feds.
