It’s only the first week of February, but we’re off to a good start this month. After a three-year hiatus, Nicki Minaj has returned with “Do We Have A Problem,” her newest collaboration with Lil Baby. YG, J. Cole, and Moneybagg Yo linked up for their bouncy record, “Scared Money.” And 2 Chainz united with Roddy Ricch on their new hit “Outstanding,” which was co-produced by Hit-Boy. This week’s roundup also includes tracks from $NOT, Conway the Machine, and more.

Nicki Minaj f/ Lil Baby, “Do We Have A Problem?”

Nicki Minaj is back. After a three year hiatus, she dropped “Do We Have A Problem,” a new collaboration with Lil Baby. On the track, Nicki introduces a new melodic flow on the chorus as she rap-sings about weapons and secret business. “They want that heat, I’m the only provider/ Little bad foreign bitch, word to Fivio/ Niggas know the vibe, that’s worth a five, yo,” she raps. Lil Baby delivers a lengthy verse, in which he raps about his plans for the new year and designer clothes: “I’m on point, I know what I’m doin’/ Way too smart to act like I’m stupid/ I get my advice from Mike Rubin.” The new single is expected to be the lead track from a new Nicki Minaj album, coming this year. YG f/ J. Cole & Moneybagg Yo, “Scared Money”

“Scared Money” is a bouncy track from YG that unites the west coast native with J. Cole and Moneybagg Yo. YG kicks things off with a hypnotic verse that focuses on money, cars, guns, and his lavish lifestyle. J. Cole is back with another witty guest verse, rapping, “Cole think he Drizzy Drake, he got his own plane/ Flew it all around the world and now I’m back, bitch/ Three cribs in the same neighborhood, I’m that rich.” Moneybagg Yo finishes up with bars about Lambo trucks and his spending habits. “Scared Money” is expected to appear on YG’s next album. 

2 Chainz f/ Roddy Ricch, “Outstanding”

On “Outstanding,” 2 Chainz brags about his business deals and money moves, spitting, “First rapper with a Versacе deal, did a chain reaction (Mm-hmm)/ Soulja Boy ain’t do that (Mm-hmm).” Roddy Ricch provides a melodic break on the chorus, but instead of using his high-pitched vocals, he opts for a flatter tone. “​​I done got it out the mud like the sandman/ She said she love my lifestyle, it’s outstanding,” he raps. “Outstanding” is a standout on 2 Chainz’s new album, Dope Don’t Sell Itself

$NOT f/ A$AP Rocky, “Doja”

“Doja” is a rambunctious track from $NOT that features a new A$AP Rocky verse. $NOT comes out the gate claiming that he had relations with Doja Cat. Elsewhere on the track, he delivers a rowdy verse, spitting, “​​I’m a demon, I be dancin’, got more fashion, that bitch braggin’.” A$AP Rocky is equally riled up on the track as he raps about his fashion sense and pretty looks. “Doja” is the second single to be released off of $NOT’s third album, Ethereal, which is slated to drop February 11. 

Saba f/ 6LACK & Smino, “Still”

“Still” is a smooth new song from Saba that unites the Chicago artist with kindred talents 6LACK and Smino. On the track, Saba lays down a velvety verse about his fast-paced lifestyle and a need to slow down. “She say ‘I gotta be still, yeah, I gotta be still’/ Bare a cross right ‘cause when life goin’ right then they might wanna re-deal,” he spits. Smino delivers a dizzying and sharp verse, rapping, “Still-iam Shakespeare, no eraser, I wrote this verse in stone/ Sculped the horoscope, I’m morse code.” Then 6LACK provides the soulful and melodic chorus that pieces the track together. “Still” appears on Saba’s new album, Few Good Things

Conway the Machine f/ Benny the Butcher & Westside Gunn, “John Woo Flick”

Griselda’s Conway the Machine, Benny the Butcher, and Westside Gunn are back with excellent lyrical rap. On “John Woo Flick” the trio lay down lengthy verses, bragging about their rap skills while also spitting about their lethal tendencies. “I’m lookin’ at these rap niggas like, ‘Is there a problem?’/ I part the middle of your head like Larry Johnson,” Conway spits. Benny the Butcher comes in next, rapping about his arsenal, while Westside Gunn throws in some bars about his luxurious items. “John Woo Flick” will appear on Conway’s new album God Don’t Make Mistakes, which is set to release February 25.

Yo Gotti f/ 42 Dugg, “Cold Gangsta”

“Cold Gangsta” is a lengthy track from Yo Gotti that includes two parts. On the first part of the track, Yo Gotti lays down a sharp verse about his gangsta status over bouncy and danceable production. “My price went high, it’s thirty a brick/ Water been tight, flyin’ in/ Let’s say, “Goodbye” to the ghetto/ And “welcome” to wealth, 90210,” he spits. On the second part of the track, the beat switches up to a more sinister tone. 42 Dugg steps on the second half of the song, delivering a menacing verse. “Gotta pay me to Perc’ no shit, I’m famous/ Nigga like smoke, not me, I’m rainin’,” he raps. “Cold Gangsta” appears on Yo Gotti’s latest project CM10: Free Game

G Herbo, “Locked In”

“Locked In” is a gritty and bar-heavy track that finds G Herbo rapping about the trauma of losing family members, lethal tendencies, and money moves. “In them trenches, I’m a G.O.A.T./ Like my mama, fuck goats/ I can’t sleep, why I stay woke/ Solid, I’m forever woke,” he spits over fiery production, courtesy of Southside and 808 Mafia. “Locked In” was released on February 4, and arrives shortly after the release of G Herbo’s fourth studio album, 25.

King Von f/ 21 Savage, “Don’t Play That”

“Don’t Play That” is King Von’s first posthumous release as a lead artist since his death in 2020. Over King Hazel production, King Von delivers a bouncy flow as he raps about women. “I heard that you got a great mind/ I don’t think that we need to waste time/ She fell in love with a shooter/ I caught that girl playin’ with my Glock,” he spits. The track also features a verse from 21 Savage, who spits, “She fell in love with a stepper/ I caught her playin’ with my Js/ I fell in love with the gun smoke/ She caught me playin’ with my K.” King Von’s posthumous album is coming soon.
