This week, Lil Keed’s estate and YSL Records dropped a posthumous single that is expected to appear on an upcoming album. “Long Way to Go” is a reflective track that finds Lil Keed looking back at how far he’s come as well as how far he still needs to go. “Got a long way to go, but I’m closer than ever,” he spits. What stands out most about the song is Keed’s impeccable flow. At times, it sounds like he’s floating over the lowkey beat, courtesy of DJ SIDEREAL and Aidan Han. Lil Keed is truly missed.

GloRilla, “Internet Trolls”

GloRilla is back with a new anthem, this time taking aim at haters on the Internet. “Internet Trolls” is a fiery record that finds Big Glo reuniting with HitKidd. On the song, Glo comes out the gate telling listeners to “live how you want to live,” while reminding them that social media is not always reality. She also takes cautions fans about Internet trolls “who be tryna satisfy them internet goals.” “Internet Trolls” is GloRilla first major release since 2022’s EP Anyways, Life’s Great.

Dreamville’s JID and Lute linked up for a new collaboration. “Ma Boy” is led by a hypnotic beat that will instantly get listeners to bob their heads. On the track, JID steps out with a slick and rapid flow, rapping, “Fuck the trauma and trouble we thuggin’ through/ With the same niggas since duck-duck-goose-goose.” Lute matches JID’s energy with a commanding verse. “Y’all just be lit off the hype, you know this really my life/I take a chance and land it, you just be rollin’ the dice,” Lute spits. “Ma Boy” is set to appear on the Dreamville-produced soundtrack for Creed III.

PinkPantheress is back with the remix of her single “Boy’s A Liar.” The remix is just as fun as the original with a playful and animated beat, co-produced by Mura Masa and PinkPantheress herself. On the track, she sings about her insecurities as a result of a bad love match. The remix also includes a new verse from Ice Spice who delivers raspy vocals, spitting, “Like that boy is a cap/Sayin’ he home, but I know where he at, like.”

2Rare, “Rare’s Room”

2Rare is back with a new hit. “Rare’s Room” is a mid tempo and seductive record that samples Silk’s 1999 single “Meeting In My Bedroom.” On the track, 2Rare asks his love interest to return to his bedroom with him. “Meet me in my bedroom/I promise there is nothing I can’t do,” he sings on the first verse. “Rare’s Room” is a fun record that will likely find placements on Valentine’s Day playlists.

NLE Choppa, “Champions”

NLE Choppa is back in his bag. “Champions” is a triumphant record that finds the Memphis rapper taking a leadership position as he asks for people to follow him. His flow on the song as he raps, “I said it once, I’ma say it again, This here be my year/I ain’t gon’ show no fear,” is powerful and convincing. The d.a got that dope-produced record isn’t believed to be attached to a new project right now. Nevertheless, “Champions” is one of NLE Choppa’s best.
