As of late, Cardi B has been using her voice to speak out against President Trump, the government shutdown, and other socio-political topics. Yet, it seems that a fellow New York rapper is taking objection to Cardi's recent opinions.

On her Instagram Story, Azealia Banks posted a screenshot of Cardi's take on conservative America with a caption that attempts to call out Bardi's hypocrisy due to her Dominican heritage.

"I would love to see Cardi say something to the leaders of the Dominican Republic about its ethnic cleansing and deportation of Haitians," Banks wrote. "Going after Trump is just an easy way to get press. Don't chastise Trump and Tomi Lahren for being racist if you can't be bothered to criticize your own people about the rampant racism in the Dominican Republic."

In the next post, Banks then goes on to say "the Dominican Republic literally does the same thing to Haitians that Americans been doing, Trump is doing with Latin American immigrants and migrant workers." She adds, "It would actually be an excellent PR move and I think she's influential enough to really make some changes there. Would help a lot of poor Haitians and Dominicans of Haitian descent have access to jobs, healthcare, housing, etc."

When taking into consideration the divisive history between Haiti and the Dominican Republic, Banks has a clear and honest complaint. However, two things can be true. Cardi — who was raised in the Highbridge section of The Bronx — could have a cultural connection to both her Dominican and Trinidadian roots while still being concerned about the state of the country she's from.

Also, it should be noted, that the fact someone who's admitted to lightening their skin (for several reasons) critiquing Cardi for not talking about ethnic cleansing is the definition of "hypocrisy."

Banks' problematic past — which includes endorsing Donald Trump's presidency and the consistent use of homophobic language — places the pressure she's putting on Cardi to be the oppressed person's ally in the category of "Pot, Meet Kettle."
