DJ/producer Mija sticks to her ambitious roots with the release of her four-song project Time Stops, which serves as the soundtrack for an accompanying animated short film by the same name that is set to arrive later this year.
Earlier today, the 25-year-old L.A. artist (who recently celebrated her birthday) shared the title track via the Adult Swim Singles series, and now fans get to enjoy an early stream of Time Stops. The project showcases her unique sound that doubles as a narrative for the short film, which was directed by Mija and Ryan Forever and animated by David Dutton of 8-Bit Cinema.
In the fall, Mija will release her debut EP.
Stream Time Stops below and grab the soundtrack when it's available at midnight via her Never B Alone imprint. Mija has several festival spots lined up this summer and fall, including stops in Chicago (Spring Awakening), Las Vegas (EDC), and Columbus, Ohio (Breakaway). She'll also be performing at newly announced Voodoo Music + Arts Experience in late October.
