LiveXLive and TikTok are putting artists first by partnering for Music Lives, a 48-hour music festival to help raise awareness and money for the MusiCares COVID-19 Relief Fund, which supports those in the music community who have been impacted by the global pandemic.
Complex and First We Feast have teamed up with LiveXLive as streaming partners for the event, which will feature dozens of artist performances straight from their private studios, living rooms, backyards, or local hometowns. Among those expected to make appearances: Swae Lee, Anitta, Trippie Redd, Big Gigantic, Gabriel Black, Myke Towers, Arcangel, and 10K.Caash. Today kicks off with a special introduction from Nas, and J Balvin will handle hosting duties for the "Pa La Cultura" Urban block that takes place Sunday (April 19). The full by-day lineup can be found here.
"This is a trying time for everyone, including music fans and artists," Robert Ellin, CEO and Chairman of LiveXLive, explained. "And as music lovers ourselves, it was so important to partner with organizations like MusiCares and TikTok that truly care about the well-being of the music community that brings so much joy to the world."
"One World: Together at Home," organized by Global Citizen and World Health Organization, will also stream during Music Lives starting at 2 p.m. ET on Saturday (April 18).
