Chief Keef has just been sued by his landlord. Apparently, Keef has been renting a mansion in Illinois for several months, but the rapper has not paid his rent for the last two months, and owes approximately $9,400. The landlord, George Simoniak-Sas, is looking to collect this backrent, and is threatening to evict the young rapper should he not pay up.
The mansion is approximately 5,100 square feet, with 6 bedrooms and 5.5 baths. It is reportedly worth over $1 million. Why Keef is renting a mansion as opposed to purchasing one is unclear. The Chicago native has yet to respond publicly to the lawsuit. It has been a very turbulent year for Keef, who started the year in a juvenile detention facility and has subsequently been arrested several more times. However, Keef has also released the much-anticipated Bang Pt. 2 this summer, and continues to churn out new music.
