River Tiber Returns with Soulful New Single "Patience"

Listen to the smooth new cut from Tommy Paxton-Beesley.

Toronto R&B sensation, River Tiber, has finally returned with a gorgeous new single called, "Patience". The aptly named song comes more than a year after his last release: the critically acclaimed studio album, Indigo, which dropped in summer 2016. We loved the project so much, that we placed it onto our year-end list of "Best Canadian Albums".

Despite his lack of solo material thus far, Tiber (born Tommy Paxton-Beesley) has amassed quite the resume; lending his chops to heavy hitters like Kaytranada, Charlotte Day Wilson, and recent Grammy nominee, Daniel Caesar. His work with the latter culminated in a dreamy song titled, "West", which was recently flipped by SZA on her CTRL standout, "Broken Clocks".

"Patience", his latest offering, exists in a similar realm as the aforementioned artists, and is armed with lush and beautifully layered sonics. The track was written, performed, and produced by Tiber, and on top of singing, he also plays the drums, piano, bass, guitar, synth, violin, and alto saxophone on the song. If "Patience" and its impressive credits are any indication, the Toronto maestro is due for a big year in 2018.

You can stream "Patience" now on Spotify, Apple Music, and below via SoundCloud.
