Premiere: Zach Zoya & High Klassified Join Forces for New Mixtape and Music Video
Fresh new tunes from the Quebec duo.
Two of Canada's finest just decided to mess up our summer by dropping a surprise collaborative EP. Montreal newcomer, Zach Zoya, joins veteran producer High Klassified today for a fresh new project called, Misstape. This is, of course, the duo's second time blessing our eardrums as a unit. Back in April, Zoya floated over a HK track called "1919" which landed on the latter's most recent record entitled, Kanvas. Much like their first offering, Misstape is a perfect sonic match with Zach showcasing loopy flows over High Klassified's dark, brooding production.
The collab tape comes at a pretty incredible time for both artists. Zoya, who just turned 20-years-old, has his hometown of Montreal buzzing thanks to a couple of dope tracks this year including the infectious cut, "Who Dat". Meanwhile, Laval producer High Klassified is riding high thanks to his own dope work and high-profile placements like the viral hit "Coming Out Strong" by Future and The Weeknd.
Zoya and HK's collabtape is equipped with five new songs, ranging from melodic trap to R&B crossover jams. And if that wasn't enough, the duo also launched a goofy new music video for the standout Misstape banger, "Barely". Director Vincent RC handles the quirky visuals, which show the boys playing tennis, smoking up, and dancing around a bougie cottage by the lake. You can watch the full video above, and be sure to stream Misstape which is out now on all major streaming platforms.
