Taylor Swift’s newest offering, Lover has landed at the No. 1 spot on the Billboard 200 chart with the biggest week for any album since her last release, 2017’s Reputation.
Lover earned 867,000 equivalent album units in the U.S. during its first week, Billboard reports. Of that amount, 679,000 were in album sales, 13,000 were in TEA units, and 175,000 were in SEA units. Both numbers are the largest registered for any album in one week since Reputation.
Swift's latest is the biggest sales week for an album since Reputation. Aiding that number is the album’s release as four collectible deluxe CD editions at Target, merchandise and album bundles sold through Swift’s website, a standard edition of the CD that was sold at retail, and an equivalent digital album.
Lover is also Swift’s first album to be available to stream across all platforms during its first week. Reputation wasn’t available to stream in its entirety during its debut week; only four pre-release tracks were streamable.
Lover is Swift’s sixth No. 1 album. Swift has now become the only woman with six albums to sell at least 500,000 copies in a single week, with Lover granting her fifth No. 1 album on the Billboard 200 in this decade (2010 to present).
