Kid Cudi Says 'A Kid Named Cudi' Mixtape Will Arrive on Streaming Services 'Soon'

Kid Cudi has once again instilled hope within our hearts that his mixtape, A Kid Named Cudi, will be released on DSPs.

“A Kid Named Cudi coming soon to streaming services,” he said in a clip originally shared on Reddit, hinting that we’ll see his 2008 debut this year.

The project was Cudi’s first official release, and preceded him signing to G.O.O.D. Music that year. His hit song “Day ‘n’ Nite,” which became the lead single from his debut album Man on the Moon: The End of Day, debuted on that tape. The 17-track A Kid Named Cudi also includes “50 Ways to Make a Record” and “Man on the Moon (The Anthem).”

In addition to his Amazon Prime documentaryA Man Named Scott, which premiered last fall, Cudi also has more projects en route, like Entergalactic, which he recently said is the “greatest piece of art” he’s ever made.

He’s also been working on another new project called Encore, an interactive live performance app that launched last month after raising $9 million in funding. “My number one priority has always been inspiring others and providing them the space to tell their own stories in an authentic and meaningful way,” Cudi said in a statement at the time. “We created Encore as a space for artists to share their art, build community, while also being able to pay their rent.”
