FKA Twigs has released her new short film Practice.

The seven-minute video highlights the physical training and creative process that went into her most recent video “Cellophane,” Twigs’ first new solo music in more than three years. The emotional Andrew Thomas Huang-helmed video features her taking on a difficult pole performance, with Practice speaking to the demanding physical and psychological training she endured to perfect the dance.

“There was a lot of hard work that went into making the video happen—on a creative level, on a business level, on a physical level. It's all very well me going and doing a 3-minute routine, that's easy,” Twigs told WeTransfer’s content platform, WePresent, of the AnAkA-directed short. “But the difficult thing is knowing that you have the stamina and the strength to do be able to do that 3-minute routine for eight hours, and that's something different.”

“Cellophane” is said to be the first taste of FKA's long-awaited sophomore album, though the 31-year-old has yet to reveal the project's release date. The song arrived more than three years after she dropped her last single, “Good to Love,” nearly four years after she shared her M3LL155X EP, and about five years after she delivered her debut album LP1.
