It’s no surprise that DaBaby is his own favorite rapper. He recently sat down with The Rap Pack (Carl Cherry, Jon Tanners, and Trent Clark) and admitted as much, and also revealed who his other favorite rapper is.

Baby applauded YoungBoy Never Broke Again as one of his favorite artists. “I like NBA YoungBoy a lot,” he said around the 11:10 mark. “I know he don't get the credit he deserves for his music because of the stigma that's around him. I just listened to his last project and he's like crazy talented. After my music, I probably like his music the most just because of his story and how he puts it out there, how shameless he is with putting it out there and the type of music that he continues to make. And not only that—how versatile he can be with it. How he can make this type of song and this type of song, you know, I like it.”

DaBaby also touched on some of the decades defining artists, singling out Lil Wayne, Kanye West, Nicki Minaj, Drake, and Meek Mill. He also said he considers Meek’s “Dreams & Nightmares” to have one of the top verses from this decade.

Baby has had a breakout year. He was recently included in Forbes' 30 Under 30 list for 2020, which highlights “600 young leaders and entrepreneurs” across different industries, earned two Grammy nominations, and gave a stellar performance for his Saturday Night Live debut.
