On 2 Chainz's "Proud," he and guest artists YG and Offset look back on their respective come-ups, while paying tribute to their mothers. Now, the track finally has a video, and it's pretty exceptional.
Directed by 2 Chainz himself—with assistance from Howard Ross—the video features three mothers, outfitted in stylish glasses and tracksuits, rapping the lyrics to the song. Flashbacks from the rappers' lives appear throughout, such as Tity Boi graduating from college. Also, shout out to 2 Chainz' dog Trappy for quietly stealing the show in the first scene.
"Proud" is one of four songs from Chainz's EP The Play Don’t Care Who Makes It. He announced his fifth studio album Rap or Go to the League in mid-February, which serves as the full-length follow up to last year's Pretty Girls Like Trap Music.
Music aside, 2 Chainz is gearing up to participate in Quavo's upcoming celebrity football, where he'll coach Team Huncho and a lineup of Lil Yachty, 21 Savage, Todd Gurley, and of course Quavo, among others. The game will go down Easter Sunday (April 1).
