Yung Joc recently made headlines over a viral video that showed him driving for Pull Up N Go—a rideshare company based in Atlanta. Some suspected the Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta star had fallen on hard times and was forced to take a side gig to cover the bills. However, Joc insists the job was a way for him to challenge himself, try something new, and set an example for the youth.

"So I'm a part of this organization for about 25 years, Big Brother Big Sister, and a lot of times, when we’re talking to these kids and the youth, you gotta lead by example," the 36-year-old entertainer told TMZ while transporting one a Pull Up N Go customer. "Sometimes you gotta show people that you’re not too big, you have to show them what humility is, and you’re not too big to do the right thing by making an honest living. I think a lot of the time our kids, and even adults, go astray because they’re too ashamed too prideful to do something."

Joc went on to say the job was a bucket-list item and encouraged others to try it out, as it's a cool and easy way to make extra money. The rapper also said he was surprised by the reactions to the viral video, which garnered a wave of supportive messages from both his fans and colleagues.

"The most phenomenal part of this whole experience ... is the amount of support. I'm like, 'Woah,'" he said. "'Cause I just knew, 'Oh, they gonna roast. Here we go.' But a lot, a lot of celebrities have reached out ... I just realized that maybe people are beginning to be more mature."
