Expect a lot of dancehall vibes on tonight’s OVO Sound Radio.
In addition to Oliver El-Khatib’s usual set, Saturday’s broadcast will include a special guest mix by Chromatic Live, a Jamaican crew that has received plenty of love from Drake. Its members Heavy D, Creep Chromatic, and JR Chromatic announced they will handle the mix; however, it’s unclear if the 49th episode will include any exclusives.
Drake collaborator Popcaan has consistently thanked Chromatic for supporting his music over the years. Not does Creep work as Popcaan’s official DJ, but Chromatic also produced the artist’s 2012 mixtape Yiy Change, which had a huge influence on Drake’s If You're Reading This It's Too Late. Drake shared a handwritten note following the tape’s release, thanking Popcaan as well as Chromatic for making the project possible.
