Britney Spears is reportedly receiving treatment at a mental health facility amid her father's health battle.

Sources told TMZ that the 37-year-old entertainer was self-admitted about a week ago, months after she announced her indefinite hiatus. Spears told fans she was putting her Las Vegas residency on hold to spend more time with her dad, Jamie Spears.

"[...] It’s important to always put your family first … and that’s the decision I had to make," she wrote on Instagram. "A couple of months ago, my father was hospitalized and almost died. We’re all so grateful that he came out of it alive, but he still has a long road ahead of him. I had to make the difficult decision to put my full focus and energy on my family at this time."

Insiders said the popstar has become increasingly "distraught" over her dad's health issues, which are reportedly worsening. Jamie Spears' colon spontaneously ruptured last November, and has since had two surgeries to repair his intestines and colon. TMZ reports the latest surgery has resulted in complications.

Shortly before TMZ broke the news, Spears posted an Instagram message that read, "We all need to take a little ‘me time."
