Anderson .Paak is back with Ventura after dropping off his Oxnard album in Nov. of 2018.

.Paak previously spoke about Ventura and how he was going in a different direction with the album.

“I was recording music man. I was just going through just a creative spurt and I recorded this along the same time as Oxnard and we were just recording mad material,” he said in a recent interview with Zane Lowe. “[…] When we were developing Oxnard, I started seeing Ventura kind of take place too, so simultaneously I started kind of divvying up the songs and being like, ‘OK, this is going to go here. This is going to go here.’ […] When I was going into it, I felt like one was made to be gritty. One was made to be pretty.”

Ventura arrives about six months after Oxnard, .Paak’s first official release under the Aftermath banner. The 11-track project features the previously released single “King James” as well as guest appearances by André 3000, Brandy, Nate Dogg, Smokey Robinson, and more.

You can stream Ventura now on Apple Music/iTunes as well as Spotify below.

.Paak will kick off his Best Teef in the Game Tour next month with special guests Thundercat, Earl Sweatshirt, Noname, Jessie Reyez, and Mac DeMarco.
