So many artists are mourning the loss of musical icon Prince, and the Game is definitely one of them. He eulogized the late singer in an Instagram post last week, and also shared a tribute song in his honor called "Rest in Purple." But, as it turns out, Prince once turned down an opportunity to work with the Game on one of his tracks. The reason: a single curse word.
TMZ caught up with the Game outside a clothing store, and he got to talking about their working relationship. "I wanted him to get on a song and he was down to do the song, he explained. "So we met at Doug Morris's office at Universal a few years back. And he heard the song and it was one curse word in it and he was like 'Yo, I can't get on that, it's got a curse word in it."
He was bummed that the collaboration didn't work out, but didn't sound like he had any hard feelings. "That's the evolution of people in their lives. You get older, you get wiser. Prince became a Jehovah's Witness and he cut out all that. So we didn't do the song because I needed that curse word." Although he couldn't remember the specific lyric, it must have been pretty important for him to turn down a look from Prince. You can check out his whole story in the video above.
