JayDaYoungan’s Sister Mourns Rapper After Fatal Shooting: ‘No Way They Took You From Me Like This' (UPDATE)

Hours after JayDaYoungan was fatally shot in his hometown of Bogalusa, the Louisiana rapper's sister took to Instagram to pay tribute to her brother.

UPDATED 7/29, 10:15 a.m. ET: Yungeen Ace took to Instagram on Thursday to share a tribute to JayDaYoungan, who was shot and killed Wednesday in Bogalusa, Louisiana. 

“I wasn’t even gon’ come post Brudda cause this shit been eating me in the inside cause we wasn’t seeing eye to eye bout some shit we could of rekindled,” he captioned a clip of the two rappers. “ I wanted to [call] you so bad Brudda it was just our pride in the way dawg. We was better [then] that shit we was going thru shit was so little damn la Brudda.. I hate even going thru this shit again and again all my love go out to yo family yuno I love them like They mines they always treated me like family.”

He concluded the post, “I love you foreva.”

Hours after JayDaYoungan was fatally shot Wednesday in his hometown of Bogalusa, the Louisiana rapper’s sister took to Instagram to pay tribute to her late brother.

“Javorious, no way they took you from me like this. I’m sick to my stomach, they wanted this… they wanted to see you like this bro,” Janell captioned a series of photos of herself and Javorious.

“I’m so sorry,” she continued. “I love you so much!!! Sister is so hurt. I literally watched you grow from the ground up w this rapping shit! You was the goat in my eyes, especially from where we come from baby I’m so sorry!!!!! Jay you literally hurt us with this shit!!! Dawg this cannot be life!!! I got J.R., and I Love You So Much. 23 Forever and I’m standing on it. City will get painted red!”

Boosie Badazz also hopped on Instagram to share a tribute to JayDaYoungan, posting a picture of the pair after they recorded their 2018 collaboration “All Cancer.”

On Wednesday, the 24-year-old Louisiana native was killed in a shooting that occurred shortly before 6 p.m. Bogalusa Police Chief Kendall Bullen confirmed the details contained in a Facebook post with Complex.

“We can now identify the victims as Javorius Scott, A.K.A. JayDaYoungan and close family member Kenyatta Scott Sr,” Bogalusa PD wrote. “We can also confirm that Javorius Scott has died as a result of his injuries. Kenyatta Scott Sr. has been transported to another facility and we have been told he is in stable condition.”

The post continued, “Detectives are currently conducting interviews and working leads. Further information will follow as it becomes available.”
