2NE1 member CL is coming to America, and she's working with Scooter Braun, the mastermind behind Justin Bieber, Ariana Grande, PSY, and many more. 2NE1's record label, YG Entertainment, told Billboard that the 23-year-old singer/rapper is preparing for a "full-fledged solo effort" that's intended to cross over to America next year. If Scooter is helping CL, we're sure things will go exactly as planned.
"I was looking back and thinking, 'I want to have something personal for me,'" she said. "With 2NE1, it's not personal because it's not only about me; it's about all the members. But I have so many things I want to say. I have this other side of me that people didn't meet in 2NE1."
In May 2013 she released her song "The Baddest Female" which hit No. 4 on the K-Pop Hot 100, and CL's song "Dirty Vibe" with Skrillex and Diplo is currently No. 23 on the Billboard Hot Dance/Electronic Songs Chart.
