Freddie Gibbs and Big Sean have collaborated in the past, but that hasn’t stopped Gibbs from playfully trolling the Detroit rapper following his “What a Life” video.
In a series of tweets, Gibbs gave his thoughts on the video for Big Sean’s latest track with Hit-Boy, “What a Life.” In the Joe Weil-directed video, there’s a scene in which Sean appears covered in bees. On Friday, Gibbs had plenty of jokes for his “4 Thangs” collaborator.
“N***az get rich and bored and start doing dumb shit [laughing crying emoji] D’Fuck @BigSean,” he wrote alongside an image of Sean covered in bees. “This n***a @BigSean think he Candy Man. … Man I gotta get so rich I let bees sting me in the dick.” He even directly tweeted at the rapper, and jokingly added, “I hope them bees sting the fuck out yo ass.”
For what it’s worth, Sean replied to a number of Freddie’s tweets with his own jokes, too. “Yes bitch! I’m rich in a lot of ways tho, you’ll see when you get there!” he wrote. “Sike as, u my n***a love you bro.”
Freddie Gibbs has been giving Wale a similar treatment on Twitter as of late, too, accusing the rapper of taking him off his new album Folarin II. “Go get @Wale new album tonight even tho he took me off it,” he wrote. “I guess the n***a gon put me on the deluxe [shrug emoji].” In a response, Wale added, “Gibbs be lying. @MarkRonson ain’t clear it yet. But also mark want us to do a project together. But FG would rather be a Twitter honey… Crazy.”
He also replied to Gibbs suggesting he could be on a Folarin 3, and joked about Gibbs not turning up to the studio for his own session. He made sure to clarify that the two of them were playing around, and said that there will be some music from the two of them “soon.”
