Late 2018 saw Bone Thugs-N-Harmony's Layzie Bone take aim at Migos on a diss track, and eventually 21 Savage found himself involved. "I thought that shit was going to be hard, 'cause I love all that old shit," Savage said on Instagram Live after hearing the song. "But that shit was wack as a motherfucker. I'm talking 'bout...that was probably the weakest diss song I've ever heard in my life, no cap. Like, what the fuck, bro?"

During a recent appearance on the Murder Mass Music Show, Bizzy Bone explained that 21 personally called up Layzie to apologize. "I heard that 21 Savage apologized to Layzie over the phone," he said. "That’s the only thing I heard about the situation. I don’t even think it is one of those things you can really chop it up about. Well, he apologized for saying he was gonna fuck his wife, and you still said, ‘N***a can’t pull out no M’s' and that’s the last thing you said to the world."

Layzie demanded an apology from 21 shortly after he called the song "wack," while Bizzy threatened both the Atlanta rapper and Migos in a video where he held a shotgun. "So I seen it for what it was as an artist," he added, partially explaining the foreboding video of him brandishing a firearm. "There is no sense in people screaming for me like that if I don't think that way, so I took a proactive approach. All you got to do is represent all of the hard work that you have to put in as an artist that put in work for 27 years. You got to show up to work bro!"
