There has recently been an influx of TikTok users impersonating Ariana Grande, and she's not too happy about it. In a since-deleted Instagram Story post, Grande addressed all the imitators and called them "degrading."

"Omg can this please also double as your impression of the pony tail TikTok girls who think doing the cat valentine voice and that wearing wingeed eyeliner and a sweatshirt is doing a good impersonation of me," she wrote, responding to actor Jordan Firstman's Instagram Story. "Cause this really how it feels. 'Degrading it's entire value' I screamed." Obviously, Grande doesn't think the impersonators of her are even doing a good job of it.

The impersonators on TikTok first started to surface sometime last year, and she responded to a viral tweet of one such clip back then. "I just wonder whyyyy the cat voice / dialogue," she wrote in a tweet on Nov. 24, 2019. "I am sure she is the sweetest sweet sweetheart forreal !! But it's definitely bizarre seeing people blend the two worlds lmao."

Her talking about "the Cat" is in reference to her character Cat Valentine in the Nickelodeon TV series Victorious and its spin-off Sam & Cat.
