For Lil Wayne, opening a skate park in New Orleans' 9th Ward is about helping out his hometown and the people who live there. In particular, he wants to give the youth something new and different to do, which they can officially enjoy as the park is now open for use. You can watch a brief interview with Weezy above that was filmed on location.
