As debates over the “King of R&B” begin to die down on Twitter, Usher is strategically putting in his two cents by coincidentally dropping the video for his Zaytoven-produced track “Peace Sign.” Watch it above.
The song is a standout from his collaborative project with Zaytoven, A, which came out back in October. Together, Usher joined the ranks of artists like Future and Big Sean with major releases helmed by a solo producer in the last year, though his is notably more sensual R&B.
Diddy may think R&B isn’t being made right now, but the “Confessions” singer is making a pretty good argument that it is.
In the visual, Usher rides around the streets of Los Angeles and Atlanta, posting up in various locations to dwell on his erotic memories. Like the album itself, the vid pays homage to the city Usher and Zaytoven grew up in, and there’s a quick nod to the famed gentlemen’s club Peaches of Atlanta. Zaytoven makes a brief cameo as well.
