Things may be over for Cardi B and Offset, but having their breakup on the cusp of the holiday season makes things a little complicated—especially when there’s a baby involved.
TMZ reports that Offset plans to spend the Christmas season with Cardi and their daughter Kulture, who was born in July. It will be Kulture’s first Christmas, so it’s no surprise Set wants to be there for his little girl, even if he and Cardi aren’t together. He’s also reportedly coming through with gifts for both the baby and Cardi, if she decides to accept them.
We know, thanks to his frustrated Tweet from last week, that Offset wants Cardi back. Even though it seems like that ship has sailed, it’s possible the holiday spirit could become a catalyst for some kind of reconciliation.
Cardi also shut down accusations that their breakup was for promo, as Offset prepares to drop his debut solo project tonight/tomorrow. His is the third Migos departure following Quavo and Takeoff’s releases earlier this year. He’s also closing out Quality Control’s fourth quarter.
Cardi announced their breakup last week in a since deleted Instagram video. Offset responded to the video by commenting with a petty “y’all won.” At the same time, rumors circulated that the rapper tried setting up a threesome with Cuban Doll and some woman named Summer Bunni. Set and Cuban Doll denied the rumors, but it seems like Cardi is fed up with her husband’s infidelity either way.
