Demi Lovato Cancels the Rest of Her Tour as She Enters Rehab

Demi Lovato and her team have decided to nix the remaining eight shows in her Tell Me You Love Me World Tour as she enters rehab to recover from her reported overdose last month.

The singer’s world tour was expected to wrap later this year, with two shows in Mexico and six other stops across Latin America. According to TMZ, refunds for the shows will be provided, as Live Nation offers “Demi Lovato the best now and in the future and we hope to see her soon in South America."

Per TMZ, Lovato entered a rehab facility outside of California over the weekend, after being discharged from the Los Angeles hospital, where she’s been receiving treatment since she was found unconscious in her home over two weeks ago. She’s expected to remain in rehab for at least 30 days.

Sharing a statement on Instagram, the singer addressed her overdose publicly for the first time on Sunday. "I have always been transparent about my journey with addiction," the open letter begins. "What I've learned is that this illness is not something that disappears or fades with time. It is something that I must continue to overcome and have not done yet."

"I now need time to heal and focus on my sobriety and road to recovery," she continued. "The love you have all shown me will never be forgotten and I look forward to the day where I can say I came out on the other side. I will keep fighting."

Lovato’s struggle with addiction has been very public over the years, and she previously checked herself into rehab in 2010. She remained sober for six years, but admitted to a relapse in her 2018 song "Sober."
