It seems like every week Cardi B is making history. Well, Belcalis from The Bronx has done it again, after all 13 of her tracks from Invasion of Privacy were certified gold or higher by the RIAA.
Cardi dropped her debut album back in April, and the entire project has gone double platinum in the months that follow. That puts Invasion on par with albums from Migos and Post Malone, giving Cardi one of the most successful rap albums of 2018. On top of that, she's now the first woman artist to have an album with all of its tracks certified by RIAA.
Bardi is not only the first woman to accomplish this success, but one of the first artists in the digital era. Invasion of Privacy joins albums like DAMN. by Kendrick Lamar and Blurryface by Twenty-One Pilots.
Her lead single and breakout hit "Bodak Yellow" has gone platinum seven times since its release. As you can see below, seven tracks on her project have gone platinum at least once, and the other six are certified gold.
Cardi wasted no time celebrating the news on Instagram.
The rapper has been caught up in her fair share of drama lately, related to her breakup with husband, collaborator, and baby daddy Offset. While things may be rocky on that front, Cardi had an incredibly successful year career wise, and also gave birth to her daughter Kulture in the process. For all her work, she received five Grammy nominations, which she found out about while leaving court.
