Shout out Harlem’s own Cam’ron for not only having bars and style, but emotional range. In a beautifully sentimental post dedicated to his ex and mother of his son, the rapper reflects on his teenage love that blossomed in the streets of Harlem.
The post tells the story of how Killa Cam met his first love Toy in seventh grade, long before his rise to fame. As he chronicles their years together, he credits Toy for taking care of him, teaching him how to dress (a major nod from the style icon), and getting her own education while taking care of their son. Cam admits he was the cause of their eventual split, and thanks Toy for “having my back and being the disciplinary in our sons life.”
The pair's son recently graduated from high school and was awarded several academic scholarships. The rapper credits his son’s success to Toy, not only thanking her in this heartwarming Instagram post, but gifting her a brand new Range Rover Velar in honor of the occasion. “Even though we haven’t been together in over a decade. Ur still my family.. love ya!” Cam’ron concludes.
