UPDATED 6/12, 2:45 p.m. ET:Ā Polo Gā€™s mother and manager, Stacia Mac, has shared on Facebook that she bonded out Polo G and all others detained in Miami, which included at least eight people in his circle, including Poloā€™s sisterĀ Leilani.Ā All are now awaiting processing, according to The Shade Room.

ā€œIā€™ve also, of course, notified my attorney,ā€ she wrote. ā€œIā€™ll be relieved when I have everyone out of jail safely. Thank you guys for your support.ā€

Stacia also wrote on Twitter that ā€œnone of these charges would be possible if the POLICE did not make contact with my son Polo G.ā€

Polo G got on Twitter after his release and wrote he was being targeted the moment he landed in Miami.

Polo G was arrested in Miami and booked into Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center at 8 a.m. Saturday, facing charges ofĀ battery on a police officer, resisting arrest with violence and criminal mischief, according to the Miami Herald.Ā 

The chart-topping Chicago MC, named Taurus Bartlett, reportedly has a bond ofĀ $19,500 over his five charges.

News of the arrest first hit Saturday morning when Poloā€™s mother and manager,Ā Stacia Mac, shared on Instagram that police pulled over Polo and his younger brother while leaving a release party for his third albumĀ Hall of Fame. She alleged that policeĀ ā€œmade it difficult for her to check on her childrenā€ and ā€œstopped them because they were driving while Black.ā€

ā€œMy kids called me in a frenzy saying the police are behind them, 20 cars behind them,ā€ she said, adding that ā€œThey refused to let me speak to my minor son, who is 16 years old.ā€

The Miami Police Department is aware of the incident involving Mr. Taurus Bartlett, also known as Polo G, Ā and another male juvenile. We will provide updates as they become available.
