It's been a big day for Lil Uzi Vert and his countless fans.

On Friday, the Philadelphia multihyphenate came through with Eternal Atake—his long-awaited and oft-delayed sophomore studio album. The surprise drop sparked a lot of conversation, as many took to social media to praise the project as well as express their congratulations. And although he had yet to listen to the album, Dreamville's J.I.D. joined the conversation by sharing an anecdote about meeting Uzi for the first time. And the story is very on-brand for the Eternal Atake artist.

J.I.D. told his followers he had met Uzi at a 2019 music festival. He did not specify which event; however, UPROXX points out that they both performed at Finland's Weekend Festival and Day N Vegas last year, which means it was likely one of the two. J.I.D. said Uzi was very complimentary of his work and the way he approached music. J.I.D. returned the praise, telling Uzi: "Same bro, u talented as fuck."

Uzi's response? "I know, I wake up as Lil UZI every day."

Classic Uzi.
