There's currently a growing list of UK producers—S-X, Nana Rogues—who are becoming just as comfortable inside the booth as they are behind the boards. One of them being frequent Dave collaborator 169, who was involved in the former's first No. 1 single, "Funky Friday", in 2018.

In that same year, 169 showed us that he had a thing for singing R&B and dropped his Seasons project on us. But it's his latest single with Wretch 32, "No Fears", that has the most potential to break through. Singing in patois throughout this dancehall-licked, piano-led offering, 169 shines bright, all before Wretch comes through with a few rhymes. "I'm just grateful for the opportunity to work with, and perform alongside, such a legend," 169 tells Complex. "It was definitely long overdue."
