Cardi B Says She Wants to Be a Politician in Series of Tweets (UPDATE)

UPDATE 1/13, 11:07 p.m. ET: Cardi took to IG to say that she's been getting a positive response after she expressed her interest in becoming a politician.

"I’m getting so much support," Cardi wrote in the post, which she later deleted. "I will make a video soon on my believes and my ideas and stuff ( I don’t feel like getting drag for a week by crazy mean Republicans) ( P.S I don’t have nothing against them I respect people’s views I just don’t like the BIAS one ) anyways thank you !This one of my passions .One thing I’m into .I just gotta get better at it ."

After sharing her interest in politics countless times before, Cardi B has let her fans know she's considering a new career. In a series of tweets over the weekend, Cardi said that she wants to be a politician. She didn't indicate that it would be the end of her music career, but she did express the desire to go to school so that she can possibly see achieve her new goal.

"I think I want to be a politician. I really love government even tho I don't agree with government," she tweeted. "Like I was watching war documentaries. No matter how many weapons a country have you need people! How are you trying to go against a country and possibly start a war when this country lacks patriotism? I barely see people claiming they LOVE being American."

She seemingly wanted to make sure her thoughts weren't misconstrued, however, adding that she would like to explain herself further in a video or Instagram Live stream. "So imma come back to my last two tweets another day," she continued. "I do feel like if I go back to school and focus up I can be part of Congress. I deadass have sooo much ideas that make sense. I just need a couple of years of school and I can shake the table."
