Hailing all the way from Belo Horizonte, Brazil, 21-year-old DJ and producer Vhoor is here to get us all fired up for his new EP, MPBEATS, with the project's lead single, "Coraçāo". Inspired by what many consider to be the golden era of Brazilian music, the 1960s and '70s, the MPBEATS EP (the MPB part taking its name from what's known as 'Musica Popular Brasileira') reinterpets some of those classics and gives them a raw, DIY aesthetic with updated rhythms and textures. On "Coraçāo", warming melodies unfold over dusty breaks, peppered with a whole array of samples that swarm through the mix. Coming with track is a gloriously lo-fi, '80s-nodding visual treatment that amplifies the pirate radio edge.

"Coraçāo" is taken from his upcoming EP, MPBEATS, which is out December 13. Pre-order here.
