For Tessellated, music has no boundaries.

The Kingston, Jamaica-born, LA-based producer, songwriter and artist makes music that teeters and borrows from the sonic palette of reggae, dancehall, funk, pop, and for his newest visual, jazz. The record was originally made in 2016, inspired by a Masego's "You Gon Learn Some Jazz", but refixed with Tessellated's touch. Now, it's the score to Apple's latest AirPods commercial, "Bounce". With a playful visual treatment courtesy of director Jesse Suchomel, Tessellated's lively and animated personality takes centre stage.

Tessellated told Complex that "the song itself was inspired by jazz and that forward-thinking, experimental energy of the genre which I tried to blend with my Jamaican roots. In the same way we wanted to tap in with that same type of energy with the video, and being in New York at the time, we felt there was no better way than by capturing the feel of the city—outside, inside, and on the rooftops."
