Fat Joe has fostered and cultivated a lot of artists. Yet, he missed multiple opportunities to be connected to one of the most popular rappers in the history of hip-hop.

While speaking at a live event for Miami's 99 Jamz radio station, Fat Joe claimed that Eminem gave him his demo tape six times and he never listened to it. "Eminem out here in Miami, he gave me his demo like six different times," Crack recalled. "Everywhere I went was this little white boy and he kept giving me his demo. He was like, ‘Yo, listen to my music, I’m telling you, I’m nice, I’m nice, I’m nice.’... I didn’t do it and now he’s the biggest guy in the universe."

Em shouldn't feel left out. Fat Joe stated that a similar thing happened when Rick Ross approached him about being signed. Although he would have loved to have been a part of the careers of Eminem and Rick Ross, they weren't all misses. Fat Joe famously aided in the conception of acts like Remy Ma and Big Pun. He also shared with 99 Jamz that he jump-started the career of Miami legend, Pitbull. According to Joe, he was friends with Pitbull's manager. Because of their relationship, he took the rapper's demo tape to New York and got him a record deal.

In another clip, Fat Joe also confirmed the release date of his collaborative project with producer Dre. Family Ties is slated for Dec. 7 and could be his last album.
