Back in 2017, Jelani Aryeh made an impression with his exciting debut EP. Mixing pop, R&B, indie rock, and rap together into a cohesive sound, Aryeh immediately became one to watch before he even turned 18. A few years removed from its release, he's revisiting the project with the Justin Morris-directed video for "Where We Go."
"I never expected this to go down like it did. I really flew out to shoot a video for one of my oldest, yet most popular songs," Aryeh said of the new video. "I love the video so much. A lot of old feelings arose too while filming which I didn’t think would happen. I don’t know if I said this anywhere before, but I wrote this song after telling my dad I no longer wanted to play football and you can probably guess how he reacted by the tone of the song. With the video we wanted to tell that story, but in a slightly different way and I’m excited to see how that translates to the viewer."
Jelani Aryeh is set to perform at Pigeons & Planes' No Ceilings NYC show on Sept. 26, which will also feature performances from KennyHoopla, Gabriel Black, and Beabadoobee. You can grab tickets here.
