Like any good businessman, 50 Cent doesn't let the left hand know what the right hand is doing. As a result, most of 50's charitable acts are kept under wraps unless he finds it profitable to tell the world. Attorney Isaac Wright Jr. claims this is the case for the rapper's relationship with 6ix9ine.
During an interview with the Breakfast Club, 50 Cent joked about 6ix9ine being his "mother's son" now that he's in jail. He went on to say he hasn't talked to 6ix9ine since he's been incarcerated and he doesn't want to. But in an Instagram post, Wright explains this was merely a joke and couldn't be further from the truth.
"The behind the scenes TRUE STORY that did not come out on the [Breakfast Club] interview is that [50 Cent] tried to help 69," Wright wrote. "50 called me and asked me to represent 69. I went to check him at MDC in Brooklyn. When I got there, they gave me an excuse that he was in Court then immediately transferred him to Queens detention. When I went to Queens, 69 refused to see me. That's when it was clear he was cooperating. Sad part is, he didn't have to do that. I would have got him off without him having to sell his soul..."
Isaac Wright Jr. is known for representing people against corrupt agencies. Prior to becoming a lawyer, Wright was incarcerated. He became the first person in U.S. history to exonerate himself from a life sentence. 50 has keyed in on this incredible story to create an untitled series based on Wright's journey. According to Variety, 50's G-Unit Film & Television, Inc. struck a deal with ABC to get the show into production.
