This Friday, London-based producer and selector DJ Chillz will release her new single, "Higher", via Sonic Continuum Recordings.
Over the past few years, Chillz has become known for her club-filling cocktail that marries together the bouncy rhythms of Afrobeats, the sultry groove of R&B and the hands-in-the-air euphoria of house music. "Higher", on the other hand, dials back the influence of Afrobeats and R&B, instead accentuating her love of all things 4x4. The result is a straight-up house thumper with a big, hands-in-the-air vocal line and a deep, weighty bass line that should keep it in pride of place in your playlists and record bags alike.
Speaking with Complex via email, Chillz told us: "This track allowed me to bring out my love for house music. Once the bassline worked with the drums I knew this was going be a solid track and the vocals just wrapped it up nicely."
