Anderson .Paak has proven that he can go bar for bar with the best of them. And he continues to show his versatility by trading verses with one of hip-hop's hottest young spitters YBN Cordae on "RNP."

For this track, Cordae effortlessly blends his nostalgic influences with his current surrounding. This is best displayed by the way he attaches a gaudy chorus that parallels excess wealth to a boom-bap inspired instrumental.

"Not one of y'all n****s gon be fuckin' with me I got two bad bitches that be rubbin' my feet/I got three young niggas down to bust out the heat," Cordae raps before .Paak comes in to repeat the hook.

To coincide with the release of "RNP," Cordae and .Paak stopped by Fallon to give a live performance of the song backed by Questlove of the Roots, making Cordae's late night TV debut:

If the combination of Anderson .Paak and Cordae wasn't enough to spark interest, the producer credit will. Over the years, J. Cole has turned into hip-hop's Willy Wonka. While everyone knew he was doing something special because they've tasted (or heard) the bars, his isolated creative process closed-off his factory from the world. But now, the rapper is opening his doors and sharing his gifts with the world. This led the proven producer to lace Cordae with an instrumental. Although the beat is minimalistic, it's intricate enough that it begs someone to murder it and that's exactly what .Paak and Cordae set out to do. They tag team the track for two minutes, laying rhymes that align in a way that mirrors classic hip-hop but is absent for today's mainstream.

"I bought a Moncler coat for the times we were broke," Cordae spits leaving .Paak to finish the line with "I'ma wear it in the summer on LeBron James' boat."

In addition to dropping this single, Cordae also revealed the cover art for his upcoming debut solo project The Lost Boy. The project will drop July 26. The rapper stopped by Everyday Struggle and talked to the cast about his relationship with Dr. Dre, being selected as a XXL Freshman, and more.
