R. Kelly has been arrested by the NYPD and Homeland Security on federal sex crime charges in Chicago, NBC New York reports, citing law enforcement sources.

The 52-year-old singer will reportedly be taken to New York by authorities. Details about the charges are expected to be released on Friday.

R. Kelly's publicist will also reportedly hold a press conference on Friday morning, Fox 32 reports.

The publication is also reporting that Kelly has been indicted on multiple counts, including obstruction of justice, child pornography production, and receipt of child pornography.

The embattled singer was arrested back in February on 10 counts of aggravated sexual abuse. He was later released after posting bail and pleaded not guilty in the case. Three of the four women in the case were minors when the alleged sexual abuse took place. The singer was arrested again in March over unpaid child support. Kelly has been accused of sexual abuse numerous times over the last two decades.

"Everybody says something bad about me," Kelly said during an interview with CBS' Gayle King. "Nobody said nothin' good. They was describing Lucifer. I'm not Lucifer. I'm a man. I make mistakes, but I'm not a devil, and by no means am I a monster."
