Quando Rondo is on the rise. The Savannah, Georgia artist recently shared From the Neighborhood to the Stage, which featured "Scarred From Love" and "Imperfect Flower," both of which have gone on to amass more than 30 million views each on YouTube. Ahead of his headlining tour, he's shared the video for one of the project's highlights, "In My Section."
Featuring a nostalgic vibe, the video finds Quando Rondo showing love to his neighborhood. It also shows how far he's come in such a short time. It's an appropriate narrative to the emotional track, which is backed by an infectious, hard-hitting beat.
"In my section I was always the youngest one with the biggest heart and the most problems," Rondo told Complex. "All I knew was to not give a fuck. My pops was incarcerated, my moms wasn’t there — in my section I had to fend for myself in and out juvenile detention, coming home to project living, sleeping pillow to post since a baby. Thank God for my grandmother, without her I would’ve went crazy! I’m my section all I ever wanted was to be labeled a real one!"
