Following a post from the official YNW Melly Instagram account in which it was said that he and YNW Bortlen would be "home soon," Lil Pump has shared some words of support for the fellow Florida artist.

In a quick update that was promptly captured and shared by fans, Pump said recently that he believes Melly—who was charged back in February with first-degree murder in connection with the deaths of YNW Sakchaser and YNW Juvy—is innocent.

"Hey, free my boy Melly, man," Pump said, as seen in the clip below. "He's innocent."

Earlier this month, a message from Melly in which he denied the charges against him was shared with his 2.4 million Instagram followers. "I'm smiling because God is with me," he said at the time, captioning a clip of court room footage.

Back in April, it was reported that Florida prosecutors had intentions of seeking the death penalty against Melly. Among the four aggravating factors referenced in the State of Florida's decision to file a notice of intent to seek the death penalty were that the act was allegedly carried "for pecuniary gain" and that it was "especially heinous, atrocious, or cruel."
