Common has big summer plans.

Following the release of his "HER Love" track featuring Daniel Caesar, the Grammy-winning artist appeared on Apple Music’s Beats 1 to premiere his new single "Hercules." The song, assisted by Swizz Beatz, will appear on Common's upcoming studio album Let Love, which he announced on Zane Lowe's show.

"This album is inspired by the book, Let Love Have the Last Word, which gave me a path to write about things I had never written about before," Common explained in a press release. "It forced me to go deeper and because I opened up about so many things in the book, I was charged to go to raw, personal and spiritual places in the music. Production-wise, I knew that the music had to have depth, soul and dimension to it. I wanted the musicianship and the spirit of what live music brings, but it also had to have something raw and basement about it [...]"

Let Love is expected to drop Aug. 30.

Common also released the official video for "Hercules," directed by Carrick and co-starring Vince Staples. You can watch the visual above, and stream "Hercules" now on all major platforms

The Chicago native kicks off his Let Love Tour tonight in Colorado. The trek will be split into two parts and will include stops in Seattle, Las Vegas, Toronto, D.C., Philadelphia, and Kansas City. Shortly after he announced the tour at last week's Essence Festival, Common took some time to meet with fans outside the event venue. He shook hands, had his photo taken, and then delivered an impromptu freestyle. Check out the performance below.
