Manchester jazz musician Katbrownsugar, the self-styled Old Trafford Afro Child, has managed to find time between her residencies on NTS, MCR Live and Unity Radio to team up with several local musicians to create her upcoming, as-yet-untitled new EP. The new project drops later this year and in advance of that she's sharing the psychedelic, rainbow visuals for Jack Duckham-produced lead single "Brownsugar".

For this particular track she's teamed up with friends and collaborators The Heavenly Dollars and Callum Connell, with whom she's been playing live recently, to create a far out jazz epic filled with twists and turns, wild sax solos and storming rhythms bursting with colour and soul. It's relentless but it stops short of being overwhelming and ends up being a perfect summer jam for those oppressively hot afternoons in the sun.
