The Prodigy's iconic front man Keith Flint has died at the age of 49.

One of the most recognisable and charismatic artists of his generation, the musician fronted the band's two number one singles in 1996 – 'Firestarter' and 'Breathe' – and most recently released the album No Tourists with the band, which went straight in at number one of the UK Album Charts in November 2018.

He was found dead in his home at Essex on Monday morning and in a post on The Prodigy's official Instagram account, band mate Liam said:

A tweet from the band's official Twitter account also confirmed the news.

It is with deepest shock and sadness that we can confirm the death of our brother and best friend Keith Flint. A true pioneer, innovator and legend. He will be forever missed.
