Premiere: Rising Artist Destiny Rogers Shares New Video for "North$ide"

The visual arrives a week after the singer shared her debut EP, 'Tomboy.'

Destiny Rogers is ready to show the world what she can do.

On Thursday, the 19-year-old singer-songwriter released the video for "North$ide," a standout cut from her newly released debut EP, Tomboy. The visual finds Rogers getting into usual teenage activities: cruising with friends, skateboarding, and hitting up a house party. Rogers, a Northern California native, spoke about the record's message as well as the vibe of its accompanying video.

"This song is about not giving myself up too easily. If you wanna get to me, you have to come to the Northside," she said. "The video is a typical kickback in L.A. with all of my homies skating and chillin' and just having a good time."

The five-track project was produced by The Stereotypes, a Grammy Award-winning production team that has worked with everyone from Cardi B and Justin Bieber to Bruno Mars and Lil Yachty.

"After seeing the reaction from Tomboy, I'm happy to have been able to release more music quickly for my fans," Rogers told Complex. "I like that my fans are getting to know me. This EP further dives into my life about my relationships and things I have had to go through."
