Emerging Canadian-born artist Cotis is ready to make his debut with the Wait! EP, a six-track collection of hip-hop and R&B-infused pop. Slow-burning and melodic, Cotis' music takes some cues from a lot of the better SoundCloud rap that's circulating right now. Tracks like "Blame" and "Phone Light Up", for example, have a lot of crossover potential between the clubs and the charts with their woozy textures and laid back cool. Meanwhile, others on the EP like "Ride" and "Feel Something Again" break up that chilled vibe with a more uptempo vibe and some snappier rhythms to show us he's got more than a couple of tricks up his sleeve.

Speaking with Complex via email, Cotis said: "Last year I lived in Sweden for a couple months and made this project with Martin Wave called 'Wait!' Although I've already released most of the project as singles, I look forward to releasing the last two songs on February 22 for you guys so you can hear what my time in Europe completely sounded like. Shout-out everyone that was apart of this project and I can't wait to release much more music for y'all as soon as possible."
