BlocBoy JB is a wanted man.
On Saturday, Tennessee authorities announced they were searching for the 22-year-old rapper, who is accused of committing multiple crimes. The Shelby County Sheriff's Office said BlocBoy—legal name James Baker—is wanted for possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia, a convicted felon in possession of a handgun, and theft of property. Law enforcement is asking for the public's help to locate the rapper but did not confirm what information led to the charges.
BlocBoy—best known for his 2018 record "Look Alive" with Drake—hasn't posted anything on social media since Friday night. We'll keep you posted as more details about the case become available.
The Memphis artist is currently suing Epic Games for allegedly stealing his signature "Shoot" dance and renaming it "Hype." According to legal documents, BlocBoy claims he invented the dance and that the gaming company didn't receive permission to feature the move in Fortnite.
"I just don't think it's fair what Epic is doing," he said in a press release. "I started the dance and made it popular through my music. Epic didn't ask me if they could put it in Fortnite."
